Submission Policy

Choose the route that matches you

Artists use the private on-site form and do not need an industry invitation or previous Indie Music Bus connection. Labels, publicists, managers, and artist-development teams can introduce themselves through the partner form. Approved contacts may also share music there. New industry contacts begin with an introduction before the music-submission route opens. Neither route creates an account, dashboard, or portal.

Keep the first introduction simple

• Direct artists may share one artist profile every 30 days. The form asks for a location, a description of the artist’s sound, a biography, and one public music link. Two additional music links plus optional website and social-profile links are welcome.
• Artists can choose any opportunities that interest them: an artist feature, interview, playlist consideration, Song Story, music review, or Of Absolute Importance. The Of Absolute Importance choice is optional and does not limit consideration elsewhere.
• The form explains the genres Walter can confidently review and asks whether AI was involved in creating or producing any linked music. The AI answer provides private context only and does not automatically determine consideration or a public label.
• Industry contacts are welcome to introduce themselves. After the partner route is approved, they may propose up to two songs per month. This is a cap, not a quota or an expectation.

Artwork, credits, permissions, and song-specific context are requested only when an editorial possibility needs them.

Review and response

A submission opens an independent editorial review, not a transaction. It may lead to a feature, interview, playlist, Song Story, review, another editorial idea, or no publication. A response, placement, coverage, timing, and promotional materials are not guaranteed. Do not send passwords, financial credentials, private medical information, unrelated personal data, or unlicensed full lyrics.
