I’ll Bring You Home @LunaKellerM
Luna Keller: Aren’t we living in really weird times? Most of the world has spent the past few months in quarantine “social distancing“. What a word! Someone came up with a more fitting option, saying we should practice “distant socializing“ instead. So I have been calling my friends and loved ones more regularly, met new people in the marvelous world of the internet and definitely appreciate the connection between people more than ever.
Now you might be thinking, where is this going? Before I connect the dots allow me to introduce myself: I am Luna Keller, a 19 year old singer-songwriter currently living in Tenerife and spending the quarantine times with my wonderful parents. Thanks to their support what started with a 14 year old me writing bad songs is now a career. My dad and I work together in our home studio and we’ve released two EPs and 4 singles so far. During quarantine we started working on the next project. The first single was just released and it’s titled ,”I’ll Bring You Home“. It is a song I wrote for my loved ones a few years ago – a reminder that I love them and that they can always count on me.
“I’ll Bring You Home“ has become even more important to me during the lockdown. To stay connected with friends and fans all over the world, I do a lot of livestreams with my family and always end with this song. We dedicate it to all the people we love that we cannot visit right now and ask people to sing along. Even though I don’t know if everyone is in fact singing along, it always feels like a very powerful and positive moment. The music brings us together through the one thing we all have in common: we all love and want to be loved.
At the beginning of this post I said that in these times I’m appreciating the connection between people even more. I feel like the quarantine has reminded us all of how precious that connection is. We are there for each other and we support each other. And I know that might not be as newsworthy as the numbers and the fear, but it is just as important. Because we are not alone and there is so much beauty in the kindness we can show each other.
Speaking of kindness I’d like to say a big thank you to the Indie Music Bus for allowing me to hop on and write a bit about my world here. I’m really grateful for being a part of the beautiful community of indie artists and supporters of the indie community. These times aren’t easy for many of us, but I’m sure we’ll find a way through this – together. And let’s get started with some uplifting music shall we? Here is “I’ll Bring You Home“.
